Alexandre Matos

Alexandre Matos is the VP of Health, Safety, Environment, and Community Relations at Sigma Lithium. He holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI), an MBA in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV-SP), a Master’s degree in Territorial Planning and Environmental Management from the University of Barcelona, and a postgraduate certificate in Occupational Safety from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais (PUC Minas). He has over 20 years of experience in the mining and engineering sectors, including leadership roles at multinational companies. Throughout his career, he has led sustainability strategies, health and safety programs, environmental licensing processes, risk management, and community engagement initiatives.
